ANA SOFÍA VÁZQUEZ

AMAYA IBARRECHE

Ana Sofía Vázquez, a graduate of Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Querétaro, specializes in Design and Project Management within the retail, commercial, corporate, and hospitality sectors.

​

In 2011, she was awarded an international scholarship from the Washington Center Governors Program in Washington D.C., interning at the renowned firm Ayers Saint Gross. Her participation in international competitions includes projects such as the Shanghai Meicang Art Museum in China and the mixed-use development for Under Armour in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

In 2012, Ana Sofia joined CallisonRTKL as a Senior Architect, collaborating on retail projects for prestigious brands like Tiffany & Co., Zara, Starbucks, and Aeropostale. Her career continued in 2015 at Gensler as a Senior Design and Project Manager, leading significant projects such as Facebook's offices in Mexico City, in collaboration with Gensler San Francisco, the first WeWork project in Latin America, and the redesign of retail brands Todomoda and Isadora, among others.

In 2018, she joined WeWork as Project Management Discipline Leader for Northern Latin America, overseeing more than 100,000 m² of coworking spaces in Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica. The following year, she was promoted to Director of Project Management, coordinating teams in several Latin American cities.  

​

In 2020, she founded Punto Equis with Amaya Ibarreche, with the mission of enriching human well-being through architecture, design, and sustainability, marking a new chapter in her distinguished career.

Amaya Ibarreche, a graduate of Universidad Iberoamericana, has built a remarkable career in architecture, interior design, and project management.

​

Her professional journey took off in 2010 when she joined HKS in Mexico City, participating in significant hotel projects such as Secrets Puerto Los Cabos and Dreams Las Mareas. In 2012, she joined CallisonRTKL in Mexico City to contribute to developments for Starbucks in the United States.

​

With a strong interest in sustainability, in 2014 she completed her Master's in Architecture and Sustainability at the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya. This focus led her back to CallisonRTKL in London in 2015 as a Senior Project Architect, working with internationally renowned clients in the hospitality and retail sectors, including Tesla and Marriott.

​

In 2018, she joined Lumsden Design in London as Project Manager, overseeing iconic retail projects, including the M+ museum stores in Hong Kong and the Harry Potter stores for Warner Brothers.

​

By the end of 2018, she returned to Mexico City to join WeWork as Senior Project Manager for Northern Latin America, leading large-scale project management.

​

In 2020, she teamed up with Ana Sofía Vázquez to found Punto Equis, with the vision of promoting human well-being through architecture, design, and sustainable practices, continuing her impactful and creative career.

OUR EXPERIENCE

Punto Equis was born from the desire to imprint Amaya and Ana Sofia's voice on their accumulated experience through years of collaboration with leading international companies in architecture, interior design, and sustainability.

The drive to expand their creative horizons in each project, the passion for design, and the attention to detail have always characterized them.
